A Woman Scorned

Wronged wife
In strife
In her hand a knife
Shitty life

Dad's gone
Kids torn
Mum worn
All gone wrong

Pain, hurt, teasing
She’s searching for a reason
Sat staring at the ceiling
Left with an empty feeling

Dad goes home, his flat feels bare
No wife, no kids, no one is there
His emptiness is hard to bare
He thinks that life is so unfair

Kids clap
Dad’s back
Paint over the cracks
Carry on down the track

Mum’s trapped inside a goldfish bowl
Hiding what's inside her soul
True feelings, not on show
On with life she has to go
Dads happy, thinks all's forgotten
Mum lives a facade though inside rotting
Kids come first so she leaves alone
Suffers in silence on her own

She seen through his lies
the truth been shown
Faces up to the fact she's always known

Thoughts of revenge and secret plotting
Forgiven? Maybe, but not forgotten

Broken vows made in vain
She will never feel the same
Too much hurt and too much pain
Slowly slowly going insane

Wronged wife
In strife
In her hand a knife
Shitty life

Dad comes home, her anger snaps!!!
He tries hard but can’t fight back
A bloody and a vicious attack
Knife plunged firmly in his back

He screams, he shouts, her name he calls
Then silence after bloodshed falls
Splattered on ceiling, floor and walls
He never thought she had the balls

In her eye a lonesome tear
How she wished he was still here
The message then is loud and clear
A woman scorned is one to fear

Wronged wife
In strife
Stuck in the knife
In prison for life
