In shadows cast by words unkind,
Where echoes linger, and hearts are confined,
The seeds of doubt take root and grow,
And self-esteem can ebb and flow.
When voices rise to drown your song,
It’s easy to believe that they're not wrong,
They seep into those cracks so dark and deep,
And whisper lies that will steal your sleep.
Yet, truth stands firm against the tide,
No one should claim your worth or pride.
You’re more than judgments, fleeting, low,
A flame of strength that’s set to glow.
Your power lies within your core,
Though hidden now, it longs to soar.
With every blow that comes your way,
Remember, you have strength to stay.
Take the criticism, let it pass,
Like clouds that drift, not roots to grasp.
Each challenge met, each doubt you face,
A testament to your humility and grace.
So filter out those toxic sounds,
Let peace surround, love holds no bounds.
Hold close the truths that help you rise,
For you define your worth, be wise.
Stand tall, be bold, let self-love reign,
Your spirit’s might will break the chain.
For you are not what others claim,
Go write your story, claim your name.
So when they question, when they spy,
Know who you are, reach for the sky.
Within your heart, a fire glows,
You are the path your spirit chose.
